Yuri's thoughts: Wow.... I wonder who he could be waiting for.... The sexy lady who stays two storeys above me??? Most likely...
She walked towards her apartment and noticed that a bouquet of lilies were at her doorstep. She took it up and counted. There were exactly 7 lilies, one for each day that she didn't receive any.
Yuri's thoughts: How come there are lilies again???!!! There weren't any just now when I returned home... And when I left to go out there weren't any either... Don't tell me J came and left in such a short time.... Wow that's fast...
She looked for the note that always came attached to the flowers.

Sorry for missing a week's worth of lilies...
I was unable to send them as I was away...
Here's a week's worth to make up for the missing week's lilies...

She smiled and smelled the lilies before entering her apartment.

Jaejoong hovered around Yuri's apartment after placing them at her doorstep. He had noticed that her lights were on, so he took extra caution to be quiet so that she wouldn't notice that he was placing the lilies on her doorstep. He had stayed behind to catch a glimpse of her before he left, but even though her lights were on, he didn't manage to see her walking around her apartment at all like before. So he stuck around and waited. He needed to catch a glimpse of her to see that she was doing alright before he could return to his lair and rest. He had missed seeing her when he was recuperating.
He was looking so hard at her windows that he didn't notice her coming back to the apartment, till she walked right past him.
Jaejoong's thoughts: Glad she's still doing fine... Now that I've seen her... I guess I can return now and rest...
He took one long look up at her windows. He noticed her walking into her apartment with the lilies he had left on her doorstep. This time she placed them into a vase and placed them near the window. He saw her smell the lilies and smile slightly while arranging them in the vase. Satisfied after seeing her, he turned and started walking back to his lair.

Yuri was near her window arranging the lilies into a vase when she noticed the guy she had seen earlier looking up, and then walking off. Her eyes followed him as he walked away.
Yuri's thoughts: I thought he was waiting for someone.... How come he's leaving before he's met the person?
She turned and walked away from the window.
Yuri's thoughts: Wait... Don't tell me.... he's....J???!!!!
Yuri ran out of her apartment and down the stairs. When she reached the ground floor, the guy was already gone. She ran around the vicinity aimlessly, hoping to find him. But he was no where to be found. She was too late. He was already gone.
She walked disappointedly back to her apartment. And decided that whomever it was, was probably not J but someone else waiting for someone else in the apartment block.

The next day, Yuri woke up earlier than usual, as she wanted to see if she could stake out and find out who the mysterious J was. She got herself ready for work and waited near the door.
She waited and waited but there was no indication at all that the flowers were being delivered. It was soon time for leaving for work, and Yuri had no choice but to leave her house.

Jaejoong came by Yuri's house around the same time as the days before. And he knew that at that time, Yuri was still at work, and he would be safe delivering the lily at her doorstep.
He was walking towards her apartment, when suddenly the door opened...
And Yuri was standing at the door staring at him!!!
Jaejoong's thoughts: Oh no!!! She should be at work now!!! Why is she here???!!!!
Yuri was shocked to see the guy she had seen last night. She couldn't believe her eyes. She had taken leave from work to stay at home to stake out J. Her curiosity was killing her, so she needed to know who he or she was. Once she heard footsteps walking towards her apartment, she opened the door immediately.
Yuri's thoughts: J can't be him right???!!! Isn't he the guy I saw last night???? Is he on the wrong level????
Yuri: Hi... Are you looking for someone???
Jaejoong's thoughts: Oh no!!! What do I say???!!
Fortunately for Jaejoong, he had hid the lily inside his jacket, so Yuri couldn't tell that he was J.
Jaejoong: Oh yeah.... I'm looking for unit 33...
Yuri's thoughts: So... he is looking for that sexy lady two storeys above me...
Yuri: Oh... you're on the wrong level... unit 33 is two storeys up... but I think she's not back at the moment... She should be at work now.... you can come back later and try again...
Jaejoong: Thanks.
Jaejoong turned and left. Yuri looked at him as he left and closed her door. She went back into her apartment and looked out the window. Again the guy was looking up before he left.
Yuri's thoughts: I thought I already told him she's not in... What is he looking at still???
Yuri stared hard at him from behind the curtains. He reached into his jacket and pulled out something... something.... white....
It was a lily.
Yuri's thoughts: Oh gosh.... don't tell me.... He is J!!!!
Yuri ran out of her apartment without thinking. Jaejoong was just walking off when Yuri came running out from the block.
Yuri: EXCUSE ME MISTER!!!! WAIT!!!!!
Jaejoong turned around when he heard Yuri calling. She ran towards him and stopped in front of him, panting from the running.
Jaejoong (emotionlessly): Yes... Can I help you with anything?
She looked at him and searched his eyes for signs if he was J. There was none. It was as if he didn't know her at all.
Yuri: Are you.... by any chance....
Jaejoong looked at Yuri blurly, as if he didn't understand what she was saying. Seeing his blur reaction, Yuri concluded that she had made a mistake. He wasn't J after all... He couldn't be...
Yuri: Nevermind... My mistake... Sorry for bothering you....
Yuri turned and walked off disappointedly.
Yuri's thoughts: If he was J, he wouldn't have not recognised or acknowlege me at all...
Jaejoong looked at Yuri as she walked off disappointedly. He could tell that she was disappointed that he was the J that she wanted to meet. He felt a pain in his chest when he saw her disappointment. He wished to acknowledge her too. But if he did, he was afraid that he might cause her more pain. So he'd rather she never know who he was...

The next day, Yuri went to work normally as usual. And again the lily came. This went on for a month, until one day Yuri fell ill. She couldn't get up from bed and she was bedridden and running a high fever.
Jaejoong came by to drop the lily. And on the second day he noticed that the lily was still there. He stayed around downstairs hoping to see Yuri. But she never walked around her apartment at all the whole day. When night came, Jaejoong couldn't stand it anymore as he was getting more and more worried. He flew up to Yuri's apartment and entered into her apartment. It was dark and quiet. His eyes scanned the apartment for her, and he found her lying unconscious in the bedroom floor.
He ran up to her immediately.
Jaejoong: Yuri!!! Are you alright???!!!! Yuri!!! Wake up!!!!
Yuri opened her eyes slightly and she saw a blurred vision of someone talking to her then she passed out again. Jaejoong took her into his arms and flew off into the night with her in his arms. He rushed to the nearest hospital and landed, before running with her in his arms into the emergency ward.
Yuri was rushed in for emergency treatment. She was running a high fever and was dehydrated since she had passed out and didn't eat or drink anything for the entire day. Jaejoong was worried sick, and he stayed around the hospital waiting for news.
When the doctor finally told him that she was fine, then he breathed a sigh of relief. He went into her ward to see how she was doing. She was still sleeping. He walked over and took her hand in his.
Jaejoong: I'm so glad you're fine... Should have known something was amiss when you didn't take the lily in... I'm so stupid... for a blue blood vampire....
Jaejoong looked at Yuri for a while.
Jaejoong's thoughts: I'd better go... Or else... the longer I stay... the more I can't bear to leave her later...
Then he gathered himself and let go of her hand and walked off.
Yuri (weakly): J???
Jaejoong almost turned around when he heard Yuri's weak voice. But he stopped himself from turning. Instead he pretended that he didn't hear her and carried on walking off...
Yuri (struggling weakly): Wait.... J..... Is that you???? You're.... J.... right????
Yuri pushed her weak body up from the bed and tried to get up to give chase when Jaejoong didn't reply to her. But as she was still very weak, she fell off the bed onto the floor. Her drip was tugged off from her arm, and she started bleeding...
Jaejoong was forcing himself to not turn back and answer her despite whatever was happening. But when he smelt the familiar scent of fresh blood, he turned around worriedly. When he saw that Yuri was bleeding, he rushed up to her.
Jaejoong: Doctor!!! Nurse!!! Somebody!!! She's bleeding!!!!
Jaejoong carried Yuri back onto her bed, using his hand to apply pressure on her wound before the medics came. Yuri looked at him as he fussed over her.
Yuri: Thanks for all the lilies... J....
Jaejoong looked at Yuri when she said that. He knew that there was no way he was going to deny it anymore. Yuri had discovered that he was J.
Jaejoong: Sorry... for getting you injured...
Yuri: It's not your fault... I'm just... too... clumsy....
The medics rushed in and tended to Yuri's wound. Jaejoong stepped away to let them tend to her. He looked down at his hands, which were covered in her blood. He excused himself and walked off to the restroom to wash his hands. When in the restroom, he licked the blood from his hands.
Jaejoong's thoughts: She's no doubt a virgin... Even her blood smells and tastes different from those that we've been feeding on... I wonder if it'll taste different when she gives her virginity to me as I feed on her blood...
Jaejoong shoke his thoughts away.
Jaejoong's thoughts: She doesn't even like me... She just treats me like an acquaintance... Not possible.... She'll never give herself to me willingly.... She won't love me... I'm just not her type... Hyung... hyung's the type of guy she likes...
